Mardi Gras Dog Parade and Festival

Scottish Terrier Club of Tampa Bay members, along with Scottish Terrier Rescue of Florida (STROF) volunteers, and their Scotties participated in the Mardi Gras Dog Parade and Festival in Deland, Florida on February 18th, 2023.

A total of 26 Scottie owners, 4 helpers and 22 Scottie dogs participated.  

We were led down the parade route by a colorful Scottish bagpiper.  

A great time was had by all!

STCTB General Meeting and Educational Presentation

Thursday April 27, 2023 at 7 p.m. via Zoom

Members of the Scottish Terrier Club of Tampa Bay recently enjoyed their second educational presentation of 2023 via Zoom.

Guest speaker, Kathi Brown, Scottish Terrier Club of America, discussed a "Review of the Scottish Terrier Standard". The hour long workshop was followed by a question and answer session.  To review the tape of this workshop contact pam@joyloft.com.

The STCTB Spring Picnic on April 15th was a fun potluck enjoyed by many Scotties and their pawrents!  It included a pot-luck style meal, individual pet portraits taken by member Mitchell O'Rear, lure course runs, a brief membership update meeting, raffles and club merchandise sales, games and a boutique table.  We had 34 Scottie pawrents and 20 Scotties in attendance on this beautiful Florida day.

STCTB General Meeting and Educational Presentation

The Scottish Terrier Club of Tampa Bay invites you to save the date for our first educational presentation of 2023.

We will begin at 7 p.m. with a short general meeting highlighting current club business and upcoming events.
Then at 7:15 p.m. our guest speaker, Lori Kelly, Scottish Terrier Club of America President, will present the important role that a breed club fulfills in the preservation of our beloved Scotties. The presentation will last approximately 30 minutes followed by a question and answer session.

 You won’t want to miss this chance to learn more about our mission – looking forward to everyone’s attendance!

Scotties made a great showing at this years event, supported by members of both STCTB and STROF (Florida Scottie Rescue)!

Scottie participants met for an early dinner before the parade, then walked the parade route together.  Participants included (many with their Scotties):  Laurie Slater, Donna Johnson, Pam Murray, Denise Avery and Carlos Acosta, Savannah Blunt, Linda Andresen, Diane Goodreau and Dawn Dayringer.
